Penta Prisms
A penta prism may reflect light rays through a 90 degree angle by two reflections and inverts the image. The reflecting surfaces are aluminized.

Corner Cube Retroreflectors
A corner cube retroreflector may be used to reflect the beam entering the prism face, regardless of its orientation to the beam. Corner cubes are valuable where precision alignment is difficult.

Dove Prism
A dove prism is ideal for image rotation. Dove prisms create an image inversion in a beam input parallel to the base.

Rhombic Prism
Rhombic prisms are made from BK7 or fused silica and are available in a variety of coatings. They are designed to displace a beam laterally without changing the direction. These prisms may be used to produce a polarizing beam separator.

Roof Prism
A roof prism may be used to revert and invert the image as well as bend the line of sight through a 90 degree angle.
Waveplates

Multiple Order Waveplates
Multiple order waveplates are manufactured from a single piece of crystal quartz with its optics axis parallel with the surface. The thickness (usually about 1 mm) makes it very sensitive to the temperature, incident angle, and wavelength bandwidth. Its damage threshold is high (more than 500 MW/cm2).
![Zero Order Waveplates](https://static.wixstatic.com/media/ba2cd3_de23e932c0a1492e97dec668a67bd4b8~mv2.jpg/v1/fill/w_180,h_128,al_c,q_80,blur_3,enc_auto/ba2cd3_de23e932c0a1492e97dec668a67bd4b8~mv2.jpg)
Zero Order Waveplates
Zero order waveplates are designed to provide a retardance of full waves, plus the desired fraction. Zero order waveplates have broader temperature bandwidth and wavelength bandwidth properties than multiple order waveplates.
![True Zero Order Waveplates](https://static.wixstatic.com/media/ba2cd3_60440248c1ca45059c64aedc859c247c~mv2.jpg/v1/fill/w_180,h_140,al_c,q_80,blur_3,enc_auto/ba2cd3_60440248c1ca45059c64aedc859c247c~mv2.jpg)
True Zero Order Waveplates
True zero order waveplates are made of a very thin plate or cemented with a substrate, which ensures better possible angle, higher temperature stability, and wider wavelength bandwidth. Therefore, it is a superior choice for the highly accurate application.
